A Destination
Our Vision
Detroit Vintage is a little shop/studio/gallery filled with irresistible jewelry, clothing & accessories; both new & vintage. The shop is peppered with French soaps, bath & beauty products, a few vintage-inspired home accessories & aromatic candles.
We feature a collection of lovely greeting cards & stationary as well as new & used books.
Come visit our confiserie counter which offers a delicious selection of goodies such as cookies, cake, scones and candy. You can also wet your whistle with blended teas, coffees, hot chocolate & spring waters.
Our goal is for Detroit Vintage to be a place that will encourage us all to slow down a little, relax & linger. A visit to our shop is something out of the ordinary that we sincerely hope you’ll enjoy on many levels. We’d like to provide a gathering place for neighbors to share stories & ideas with each other.
Our History
Detroit Vintage has lived in many forms since its beginning in 1989 when owner Pam Duvall opened “21 Ten Elizabeth’s” in downtown Detroit & later on moving to Royal Oak, MI. Our newest incarnation as “Detroit Vintage” is located at 10335 W. 8 Mile Rd.
The true & unique story is that the building as built by Pam’s grandparents, Frank & Mary Pauling. They opened Paris Inn Restaurant in 1956, which thrived until 1999. Even though Mr. & Mrs. Pauling have since passed on, the building has remained under the family’s ownership.
After months of refurbishing, we are happy to offer a unique space in Detroit for any and all to enjoy. We have a passion for our new destination and hope to create an environment much like a theater where productions & events are always in motion & changing.
We hope you will stop in and say hello when we open our doors in November!
